16th Kolkata Film Festival Venues Cinema Halls
16th Kolkata Film Festival Venues Cinema Halls, as announced by the CM Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee in a press conference on 1st November 2010 at Nandan IV, will be the conventional ones. This year a total of 127 films from nearly 38 countries of all genres will be shown in the 16th KFF. The venues of 16th Kolkata Film Fest are Nandan-I, Nandan-II, Nandan-III, Sisir Mancha, Rabindra Sadan, Purbashree at Salt Lake, Mitra and Madhusudan Mancha.

16th Kolkata Film Festival Movies Films Cinemas will be shown from 38 countries. The main attraction this time is that Satyajit Ray's unscreened documentary, Sikkim, is set to be shown publicly. Like other years, there will be several categories of the films shown such as Centenary Tribute, Homage, Honour, Focus, Children's Screen, Image, Indian Select, Documentary Films. 16th Kolkata Film Festival Centenary Tribute will be paid to Akira Kurosawa, the famous Japanese film guru, by showing eight of his most praised works. Debaki Basu's 8 films like Vidyapati, Chandidas, Nartaki, Arghya and Claude Chabrol's (France) Madam Bovary will be shown as 16th Kolkata Film Festival Homage. The 16th Kolkata Film Festival Honour category will remember the French Directors Alaian Renais, Olivier Assayas and Costa-Gavras. The 16th Kolkata Film Festival Focus is on the U.S. fimmaker Jon Jost. There will be different Indian films as well. This year there will be films from Nobel winning books, like"Blindness", "The Piano Teacher", "The Tindrum". Charulata, Khokababur Pratyabartan, Atithi and Streer Patra will be shown to commemorate the 150th year of Rabindranath Tagore.
